Paul Grutt is a Master Electrician with over 35 years of experience in domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical installations, combined with ongoing electrical maintenance work ranging from repairs and replacements of hot water system to construction of several Multibillion-dollar oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia. Paul has worked with some of the largest electrical companies in Australia and has owned and operated his own electrical and solar companies in Perth. Paul has installed over 3000 solar systems in WA and Victoria and is a CEC approved solar installer.

Daniel is our mature age adult apprentice. Daniel applied to ASB for an electrical apprenticeship after serving in the Australian Army for over a decade and is also a qualified pastry chef. Whilst in the Australian Army Daniel spent all his time serving with the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Whilst new to the solar and electrical industry, Daniel has great passion for renewable energy. Daniels attention to detail and military like discipline has made him an extremely valuable team member.

Jack grew up in Wonthaggi and has always lived locally. Jack finished high school in 2021 and started his journey as an apprentice electrician. Jack is very passionate about the industry and displays a positive attitude in becoming a qualified electrician. Whilst working at advanced solar and batteries Jack has assisted in installing over 1.4 megawatts of solar from domestic installations to commercial and apartments buildings. In 2024 Jack become a 3rd year apprentice and has an excellent skill set, and a great understanding of the solar industry. Jack is also Paul’s son.

Reuben also grew up in Wonthaggi and is our most recent electrical apprentice. Reuben finished year 10 high school and was a recommendation to us from the school employment officer. We gave Reuben a 2-week trial, then offered him an apprenticeship straight away. Since his start with ASB Reuben has proved himself to be a valuable member of our team. He has excelled at Tafe and onsite. Reuben asks a lot of valid electrical questions and is clearly passionate about the electrical and solar industry.
